University of Alaska Says iPads Make Great Digital Room Signs

The University of Alaska has been using iPads as a low-cost alternative to conventional digital room signage – with complete success. When the school’s new Health Sciences Building was constructed, the IT and building project management teams collaborated on an interface connecting their Series25 room scheduling system with iPads installed outside each classroom. The system has now been running smoothly for over a year, providing scheduling that’s 100 percent automated and accessible 24/7 – at a fraction of the cost for standard digital signage systems.
