According to a recent report from the Collegiate Times, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University achieved an eight percent jump in total admissions applications, from nearly 21,000 to 22,500. Mildred Johnson, Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Director of Undergraduate Admissions, believes that Virginia Tech's "personalized attention in the admissions process," accounts in part for the increase.
